Phil MasielloMr. Masiello brings unparalleled experience in the consumer products channel. Over the last 20 years, Mr. Masiello has been instrumental in developing unique strategies, integrating innovative concepts into the retail channel and removing costs within the retail supply chain.
Mr. Masiello comes to VALUChain Associates, LLC, from over 20 years in the consumer products industry. Mr. Masiello has held several senior management positions with manufacturers and retailers and was instrumental in the re-branding of several regional retail companies. Mr. Masiello has also founded several businesses from business plan startup through the companies growth and eventual sale. In addition to this expertise in strategy and entrepreneurship, Mr. Masiello has also led teams who turned around money losing divisions within larger companies, by focusing on delivering high quality products, while streamlining the supply chain processes.
Mr. Masiello holds an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of Maryland. In addition, Mr. Masiello is involved in several industry groups focused on business strategy as well as supply chain management.
Mr. Masiello is a frequent contributor to business journals and a frequent speaker at events, focused on entrepreneurship, strategic planning and corporate culture.

Rush Dickson
Mr. Dickson spent 25 years with a major east coast supermarket chain. During his time as the Executive VP of Brand Image and Design, Mr. Dickson led several key initiatives, which were directly responsible for the success of the chain:
- Developed the various prototype formats in use today. Mr. Dickson drove the design team with input on every aspect of the store, from parking lot lighting to the atrium storefront, to the signs within the store.
- In conjunction with a major equipment manufacturing company, designed a new style of display vehicle to better merchandise products. This new design element has been copied by other manufacturers and has become a standard fixture in retail today.
- Led the private label development, working with the manufacturers, importers and suppliers to provide top quality items sold under the retailers owned brand.
- Headed several divisions as they expanded into new trends and segments, providing expertise and product strategy to continually raise the bar for the customer.
- Drove the expansion teams into the major market initiatives where he developed new and innovative concepts in retailing.
Mr. Dickson holds a BA in Western European History from Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA and an MBA from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. Mr. Dickson is active on several boards including the Carolinas Medical Center, The Crossnore School, The Dickson Foundation and Board of Deacons, Myers Park Baptist Church.

Steven Krane
Steven is a career entrepreneur. In 1987. Mr. Krane founded Horizon Meat & Seafood of Virginia, Inc. and helped build Horizon into one of the nation?s largest food direct sales company with sale over 400 distributors nationwide.
Within the past 10 years, Mr. Krane has worked extensively in the direct response television industry such as QVC and HSN where he has been responsible for selling more than a thousand new products with a long list of clients such as Simmons Bedding, TimePieces International and many more.
Mr. Krane is a past President of the Washington, D.C. chapter of the Young Entrepreneurs Organization. He received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
